BME would like to congratulate postdoctoral fellow Sangpil Yoon on his upcoming assistant professorship in mechanical engineering at the University of Notre Dame starting in Fall 2018. In 2012, Yoon earned his doctorate in mechanical and biomedical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Since joining USC, Yoon has been a member of Professor Kirk Shung’s research team and is the first postdoctoral scholar at the Viterbi School of Engineering to receive an NIH Pathway to Independence Award, or K99. Way to go, Sangpil!
