The Lewis B. Sheiner Award from the International Society of Pharmacometrics has this year been awarded to David Z. D’Argenio, Chonette Chair in Biomedical Technology and Professor of Biomedical Engineering.
The highest award of the International Society of Pharmacometrics is presented annually, and was this year conferred at the Society’s Annual Meeting in San Diego. The goal of the award is to recognize outstanding life achievements in research or leadership in pharmacometrics and the application of the circle of excellence, “Integration–Innovation–Impact,” to enhance the research, development, regulatory evaluation and utilization of therapeutic products.
The award was presented to D’Argenio in recognition of his research contributions to model-based discovery, development and optimal use of medicines.
