Professor Mark Humayun Wins Election to the College of Fellows in the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering

Professor Mark Humayun (Ophthalmology & BME) has won election to the
College of Fellows in the American Institute of Medical and Biological
Engineering
. Dr. Humayun and other members of the Class of 2008 were
nominated and approved by current members of the College, consisting of
over 900 scientists and engineers. Recipients of this honor are
recognized for their outstanding achievements in medical and biological
engineering. A formal induction ceremony will be held during the
Institute’s Annual Event in Washington, D.C. on February 21, 2008. He
joins a select group of other BME faculty who are also AIMBE Fellows:
George Bekey (Computer Science & BME), Ted Berger, David D'Argenio,
Michael Khoo, Gerald Loeb and Vasilis Marmarelis.
