BME Professor Michael C.K. Khoo Receives Prestigious IEEE Fellow Distinction

KhooThe Biomedical Engineering Department congratulates Professor Michael C.K. Khoo on his recent induction as an IEEE fellow by the Board of Directors of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE). Effective 1 January 2012, Dr. Khoo became an IEEE Fellow, with the accompanying citation:

for contributions to cardiorespiratory control in sleep disorders

The IEEE Fellow is one of the most prestigious honors of the IEEE, and is bestowed upon a very limited number of Senior Members who have made outstanding contributions to the electrical and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. The number of IEEE Fellows elevated in a year is no more than one-tenth of one percent of the total IEEE voting membership. This year 329 new Fellows were elevated.
