As usual, all of this is in outline format with hypertext, so if you want to review the specifics, or if you have any questions on a specific topic, click the hypertext for that topic.
Today's topic:
Many of these topics are incomplete.
They should be completed when the
extra credit projects are turned in.
These are Dr. Schechtman's very own notes for this lecture.
I hope you find them helpful.

Blood Supply to the Heart and Lungs
Coronary Circulation
Coronary Vessels
Right and left Coronary Arteries (stem from aorta, just above
valve)
Right Coronary Artery supplies right atrium and ventricle
Left Coronary Artery divides into Anterior Descendens and
Circumflex Branches to supply left atrium and ventricle
Most coronary blood returns to the right atrium through the coronary
sinus, and some through anterior coronary veins
Vascular communication between coronary vessels and the cardiac chambers:
Arteriosinusoidal vessels --small arteries that anastemose with
capillaries
arterioluminal vessels --small arteries that open directly into
atria and ventricles
Thebesian vessels --small veins
Extravascular Compression --myocardial contraction briefly reverses blood
flow in coronary arteries
