VT = Tidal Volume
VT stands for Tidal Volume.

It is a lung volume taken while respiration is in a steady state.

It is a dynamic value: it measures the amount of air that flows in or out
with each breath.

As illustrated in the figure below, it represents the amount of air
entering (OR leaving) your lungs with each normal, relaxed breath.

Since VT refers to breathing during steady state, it may refer to the
amount Inhaled, or to the amount Exhaled, as the two amounts should be
eqyal.
