Fe ( subscript e)

 - When we want to measure dead sapce which is not involved in actual gas
exchange one way to measure this is using Bohr's eqation.

        Bohr's equation

                Vd = (Fe - FE)VT / Fe - FI

>From the equation Fe indicates %CO2/100, called the fractional
concentration of CO2 inside the aveolar space when you exhale. Total
expiratory volume is including the volume of aveolar space and the volume
of anatomic dead space during the expiration, from there we can derive
equation.
