Thank you for your interest in the graduate programs in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California. Our programs are aimed at providing students with the breadth and depth of knowledge that they can use to succeed as future leaders in biomedical engineering education, research and industry. The department offers four graduate degrees: the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (thesis and non-thesis options), the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Imaging and Imaging Informatics), the Master of Science in Medical Device and Diagnostic Engineering, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering program which features three main tracks in Neuroengineering, Device and Diagnostic Technology, and Bio-systems and Signals.

Complete and submit the USC online graduate application (application fee required). The following documents can be submitted directly through the online application system, if needed:
- Résumé
- Letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose
- Supplementary materials such as publications, awards and certificates are not required but you may include these materials in .pdf form via the USC online graduate application.
Note: If your program of interest does not require letters of recommendation, select “offline” next to the contact information for your references in the application, and they will not be notified.

- Official grade transcripts, and official translations if they are not in English.
- GRE scores (official scores must be sent through ETS to the University of Southern California, ETS code 4852)
